World class, Canadian born ice climber Will Gadd, who scaled the ice alongside the Horseshoe Falls, returned to
Niagara Falls to accept the key to the City. Niagara Falls New York Mayor Paul Dyster read a proclamation that described Gadd’s historic climb on January 27th, 2015 and then presented him with the traditional brass key to the City.
Gadd explained that he has been overwhelmed by the reaction to his climb which took a year to plan and execute. The man who has taken ice climbing to a whole new level claims he has done over sixty-five interviews world-wide and still counting. Gadd said he knew his accomplishment would receive some attention, but as much as it has.
Will Gadd also told the assembled media that this was the very first key to a city that he has been presented over his impressive career.
