The Federal Law Enforcement Foundation held its annual event this past weekend at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. This is always a sold out event with over 1,400 in attendance.

FLEF Chairman Anthony Bergamo provided the opening remarks and introduced the Foundation’s impressive Board of Directors. Bergamo then acknowledged the list of sponsors which help make the annual FLEF event possible and was followed by heartfelt remarks by George Venizelos, Assistant Director, FBI and Joe D’Amico, Superintendent, New York State Police.

The luncheon awarded an impressive list of dignitaries: Congressman Peter T. King, New York 113th Congress, Leadership Award; Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn, Director Defense Intelligence Agency, Service in America Award; Commissioner William J. Bratton, New York Police Department, Community Service Award and Actor Steve Buscemi of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire fame, Community Service Award.

Prior to the FLEF luncheon Ms. Loretta Lynch, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and presidential nominee for United States Attorney General, was presented by Anthony Bergamo at a reception honoring the 2014 Prosecutors and Investigators of the year.

The Federal Law Enforcement Foundation is completing its 27th year of service to America and has donated over $15 million in the way of 4,000 grants, 3,100 scholarships in 200 communities and 12 foreign countries. Several of the major sponsors of this year’s event included Howard P.
