WGRZ-TV female sports reporter and anchor Heather Prusak will be the official starter for the 38th annual Niagara County Peach festival 5K Run on Saturday September 10th on Center Street in Lewiston. The race begins at 9:00 am in front of the Frontier House and the course is flat and fast and will feature Jaguar RFID chip timing by Race Management Solutions, Inc.
Heather Prusak joined WGRZ-TV in July 2014 after graduating from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. Prusak is a native of Hamburg New York.
Proceeds from the 2016 Niagara County Peach Festival 5K Run will go to Carolyn’s House, Niagara Falls and the Key Leader program of Kiwanis.
The race is sponsored by Dimino’s Lewiston Tops, Niagara’s Choice Federal Credit Union, and the Kiwanis Club of Lewiston.
Race day registration starts at 7:45 am at the Key Bank on Center Street with T-Shirts going to the first two hundred entrants with post-race refreshments and awards at that location.
